A Few of the MANY Verses in the New Testament Showing YHVH is the God OF Yeshua!

This is one of the most crucial articles on this site.

Christians and Messianics need to realize proof that Yeshua is NOT God is found in the simple and irrefutable fact that Yeshua worshipped God as HIS God!

God doesn't worship other gods; therefore, Yeshua - as a worshipper of the one true God, is clearly NOT that God he worships, which happens to be the ONLY True God.

Below is a sampling of the many New Testament verses, which point out that Yeshua is NOT God since he (Yeshua) WORSHIPS Yahweh as his God!  How could it be any clearer?  If you have a problem with the translation of 1 or 2 of these verses, how do you explain the others?

Matthew 27:46  (KJV)
46 And about the ninth hour Yeshua cried with a loud voice, saying, "Eli, Eli, lama sabachthani?" that is to say, "My God, my God, why hast thou forsaken me?"

Clearly, Yeshua during the agony of dying was calling out to HIS God.  Are we to believe a dying God called out to another God?  If we are to accept the teaching of those promoting Messiah is God, that is exactly what we must believe.

This verse in Matthew hearkens back to the prophetic 22nd Psalm - a Psalm that is clearly Messianic.  I will quote from only a portion of this Psalm which, when read using common sense, clearly shows that Yeshua (the prophetic focus of this Psalm) refers to God (Elohim and El) as HIS God (Elohim).  I will include in parenthesis the Hebrew word translated as "God."  I also mention this point in the article that discusses the particular word games played by desperate Traditional Christian and counterfeit Messianic leaders with the Hebrew words Elohim and Echad.

Psalm 22:1,2,10  (KJV)
1 My God (El), my God (El), why hast thou forsaken me? why art thou so far from helping me, and from the words of my roaring? 2 O my God (Elohim), I cry in the daytime, but thou hearest not; and in the night season, and am not silent. ... 10 I was cast upon thee from the womb: thou art my God (El) from my mother's belly.

This single quote from Psalms - and there are other Messianic verses which present the same proof - PROVES that Yeshua is NOT God (Elohim), since he (Yeshua) refers to the ONE, True God as HIS God!  Verse 10 also proves how Yeshua worshipped the same God we should worship from his birth!  Also, since Yeshua very clearly referred to the God HE worshipped as Elohim, the term Elohim cannot possibly refer to Yeshua in the sense of making him God as the Trinitarians alleged!  Actually, it is not necessary that you even accept these verses as Messianic, since, as you will see, there are so many others that prove the same thing.

Mark 15:34 (KJV) (a parallel to the verse quoted above from Matthew)
34 And at the ninth hour Jesus cried with a loud voice, saying, "Eloi, Eloi, lama sabachthani?" which is, being interpreted, "My God, my God, why hast thou forsaken me?"

Next I will quote from the favorite Biblical writing Trinitarians and others that promote Messiah is God run to for "proof."  Actually, there is far more proof in this Gospel that Yeshua is NOT God than there is that he is.  The writing I am obviously referring to is John's Gospel.  Notice in the first quote how Yeshua the Messiah defines what it is to have eternal life.

John 17:3  (NKJV)
3 And this is eternal life, that they may know You, the only true God, AND Yeshua Messiah whom You have sent.

How could he be any more precise in his prayer to HIS God as recorded in this verse?  Yeshua is clearly stating that eternal life comes to those that know the ONLY TRUE GOD, which is NOT the Trinity-God.  He also clearly distinguishes himself from God by pointing out it was the ONLY TRUE God that sent him.  As is often stated, common sense dictates the one sent and the one doing the sending cannot be the same entity.  Just in case you're thinking of the oneness verses that appear to equate Messiah and God, I ask you continue reading.  I will address that misconception shortly.

Now to another verse from John's Gospel.

John 20:17  (NKJV)
17 Yeshua said to her, "Do not cling to Me, for I have not yet ascended to My Father; but go to My brethren and say to them, I am ascending to My Father and your Father, and to My God and your God."

Notice in the previous verse how Yeshua very clearly states that his God is our God.  Of course, he was also again praying to his God.  Traditional Christian and counterfeit Messianic leaders wish us to believe God was praying to God!

Now to some of Paul's writings.

1 Corinthians 8:4-6  (NKJV)
4 Therefore concerning the eating of things offered to idols, we know that an idol is nothing in the world, and that there is no other God but one. 5 For even if there are so-called gods, whether in heaven or on earth (as there are many gods and many lords), 6 yet for us there is one God, the Father, of whom are all things, and we for Him; AND one Lord Yeshua Messiah, through whom are all things, and through whom we live.

BIGGIE!  How can anyone misread the previous verses?  THESE VERSES ARE A DIRECT, UNAMBIGUOUS REBUKE OF THE FALSE CONCEPT OF THE TRINITY!

Note:
  1. there is ONE YHVH Elohim (God)
  2. there is NO OTHER God but that ONE
  3. there is, SEPARATELY, ONE Messiah

So, not only does Paul show the Father to be the ONLY TRUE God and that there is no other God except for that one, but he also shows distinction between the ONLY TRUE God and Yeshua!  Furthermore, the Trinity doctrine of "God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit" is slam-dunked and destroyed by Paul's clear statement that the Father is the ONLY TRUE God - "... there is one God, the Father ..."!  Again, this God Paul refers to is NOT the God of Trinitarians or others wishing to worship a "God in the flesh" Messiah.

1 Corinthians 11:3  (NKJV)
3 But I want you to know that the head of every man is Messiah, the head of woman is man, and the head of Messiah is God.

Here we go again.  Frankly, all New Testament writings directly contradict the Trinity.  It never ceases to amaze me how so many that claim to study Scripture can believe in the Trinity, despite the fact it is such a an easily refuted doctrine.  The Trinity is nothing more than a nonsensical, unsubstantiated "mystery"!  If people would simply put aside their bias and read the Bible without wearing Trinity glasses they would easily see the truth.

If, as Trinitarians teach:  Messiah IS God AND the head of Messiah is God; then why isn't every man God since the head of every man is Messiah, whom Trinitarians teach is God? ?? ??  Get my point?  See if this makes it more clear:

  1. God is the head of Yeshua: God/Yeshua
  2. But Trinitarians say Yeshua IS God; therefore, a rule is established by Trinitarians, which is that the head, and the one over whom is the head, are equal.  For Trinitarians to be consistent they MUST, therefore, abide by this implicit rule.
  3. Yeshua is the head every man: Yeshua/(you and I)
  4. In order to be consistent, the rule Trinitarians established MUST be adhered to.  Since they insists the head, and the one over whom is the head are equal, Yeshua = you and I, or You and I are LITERALLY Yeshua; otherwise, they cannot possibly explain this verse.
  5. Furthermore, since Trinitarians insist Yeshua is God; then, we are also God if the rule they must adhere to is applied.
  6. So, in order for Trinitarians to be correct, YOU AND I ARE GOD; otherwise Trinitarians cannot possibly explain this verse!
  7. Of course, utilizing the rule established by Trinitarians, a man and the one over whom he is the head (woman) are also literally one and the same!  Do any of you know of a husband that is his own wife or a wife that is her own husband?

THIS IS ONE OF MANY EXAMPLES PROVING HOW OUTLANDISH THE DOCTRINE OF THE TRINITY IS!  Over and over the lack of basic common sense in the Trinity doctrine shines forth for anyone to see that wishes to see Truth.  Unfortunately, most that are locked in a social club, charismatic chaos religion do not want to see anything that will prove their desired beliefs wrong.  It is of these that Paul writes of in his second letter to Timothy.

2 Timothy 4:3, 4 (NASB95)
3 For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but wanting to have their ears tickled, they will accumulate for themselves teachers in accordance to their own desires, 4 and will turn away their ears from the truth and will turn aside to myths.

Obviously, those promoting the Trinity or a "God in the flesh" Messiah are wrong!  1 Corinthians 11:3 shows CLEAR distinction and superiority of God over Yeshua PRECISELY as it shows distinction between followers of Yeshua and superiority of Yeshua over his followers!

Often, traditional Christian leaders, counterfeit Messianic rabbis, and others that promote Yeshua is God will argue against what I just stated by pointing to the "oneness" between Yeshua and God as "proof" for their claims.  The "oneness" Yeshua and the Father have is the same "oneness" we are to have with Yeshua and the Father - it is a oneness of mind or a oneness of purpose.  It is a form of spiritual "oneness" possessed by those that are sincerely, continuously, and passionately devoted to God - our God and Yeshua's.  I will shortly prove this from John's Gospel.

We are to have the mind set of Messiah and of God; however, that in no way makes us Messiah or God.  Likewise, the oneness Yeshua had with God was oneness of purpose; however, that does NOT make Yeshua into God.  It is also the same oneness a husband and wife are to possess and the reason why "a man shall leave his father and mother, and shall cleave unto his wife: and they (man and wife) shall be one flesh" (Gen. 2:24).  I think it is time to again use common sense regarding the "oneness" error so long promoted by the Beast.  As with so many other situations, those that claim Yeshua is God utilize a blatant double standard when interpreting Scripture.

An excellent way to consider this is with regards to the effect sin has on our relationship with God.  Sin separates us from God.  Sin is the only real cause for separation between God and mankind, whom he created.  Since the man Yeshua was without sin, there was no separation; therefore, he is said to be "one" with God.  Did you get that?  The "oneness" Yeshua the Messiah had with God was due to his being sinless and the unparalleled devotion he had towards his God.  It was NOT a physical "oneness" in the sense of making Yeshua into God.  It is also for this reason Paul refers to Yeshua as the second Adam, because as originally created, Adam, too, was sinless and, therefore, at one with his Creator.  However, I know of no one that will claim Adam is God!  Adam's "oneness" was destroyed when he exercised the freewill given to mankind and chose to sin.  Additionally, the ideal husband/wife relationship is one in which they commit no sin against one another (adultery, etc.).  It is also for this reason the term adultery or harlotry are very often used to represent idolatry and turning away from God, since the "oneness" with God is broken is such situations.  So, those that worship the trinity-god or any other concept of God that teaches Messiah is God are committing spiritual adultery against the True God.

Those of you that are locked in the bondage of the false doctrine of "hereditary sin", or "Total Depravity" will not understand how a human can be without sin.  I refer you to an article on that very subject, How Traditional Christianity FORCES Yeshua to be God.

Note in the following verses that if Messiah's oneness makes him God, then by the same argument Trinitarians use, we can also be God.  Trinitarians hate these verses to be mentioned since they destroy a primary argument they wish to make using John's Gospel.  I hope this puts to rest the false assumption that Yeshua's being "at one" with God makes him literally God.  The 3 verses below are only a sampling of those that clearly show the oneness is NOT to be taken literally.  Those that still insist in a literal oneness between God and Messiah are probably beyond hope and are "one" with the Beast.

John 17:11; 21; 22 (KJV)
11 And now I am no more in the world, but these are in the world, and I come to thee. Holy Father, keep through thine own name those whom thou hast given me, that they may be one, as we are. ... 21 That they all may be one; as thou, Father, art in me, and I in thee, that they also may be one in us: that the world may believe that thou hast sent me. 22 And the glory which thou gavest me I have given them; that they may be one, even as we are one:
  1. In verse 11 Yeshua prayed for those following him to be one precisely as he and the Father (God) are one.
  2. In verse 21 he, again, prayed that believers may be one with he and God as well as among themselves.
  3. Then we see another repeat in verse 22 as Yeshua once again prayed that his followers may be one exactly as he and God are one.
  4. Of course, as in many other passages we see Yeshua praying to God in all these verses.  Is God praying to God?  That is exactly what those promoting Yeshua to be God wish us to believe.  My friend, God has no God and does not pray to any God!  Hello??  Please use common sense.

So, in John 17:11,21,22 we have a trinity of verses which disprove the Trinity!  These verses completely obliterate the false teaching of the Beast which uses the oneness issue as "proof" that Yeshua is God.

A final bit of evidence that the proper understanding of oneness is with respect of having the same purpose, or mind is shown in the following verse.  I will not even comment on the verse since the common sense meaning of it is obvious to all but the most hopelessly deceived.

1 Corinthians 6:17 (NKJV)
17 But he who is joined to the Lord is one spirit with Him.

Ok, continuing with the verses which show Yeshua worships the same God we should, which is obviously different than the pagan Trinity-God Trinitarians worship...

2 Corinthians 1:2,3  (NKJV)
2 Grace to you and peace from God our Father and the Lord Yeshua Messiah. 3 Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Yeshua Messiah, the Father of mercies and God of all comfort,
2 Corinthians 11:31  (NKJV)
31 The God and Father of our Lord Yeshua Messiah, who is blessed forever, knows that I am not lying.
Ephesians 1:3  (KJV)
3 Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Yeshua Messiah, who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Messiah:
Ephesians 1:17  (KJV)
17 That the God of our Lord Yeshua Messiah, the Father of glory, may give unto you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of him:
Colossians 1:3  (NKJV)
3 We give thanks to the God and Father of our Lord Yeshua Messiah, praying always for you,
Revelation 1:4-6  (NKJV)
4 John, to the seven churches which are in Asia: Grace to you and peace from Him (YHVH) who is and who was and who is to come, and from the seven Spirits who are before His throne (YHVH's), 5 and (distinction) from Yeshua Messiah, the faithful witness, the firstborn from the dead, and the ruler over the kings of the earth. To Him who loved us and washed us from our sins in His own blood (Yeshua's), 6 and has made us kings and priests to His God and Father, to Him be glory and dominion forever and ever. Amen.
Revelation 3:12  (KJV)
12 He who overcomes, I will make him a pillar in the temple of My God, and he shall go out no more. I will write on him the name of My God and the name of the city of My God, the New Jerusalem, which comes down out of heaven from My God. And I will write on him My new name.

How can most Christians miss what scripture makes so clear?  Yahweh is the God of Yeshua; therefore, Yeshua is OBVIOUSLY NOT God!  Worshipping Yeshua as God makes Yeshua an idol and those that claim he is God idol worshippers.  This is not to say that Yeshua is not worthy of all honor, love, and respect.  However, NO ONE, not even Yeshua, should be given the unique level of worship that is due ONLY God, and he (Yeshua) would be the first to tell you so!

Trinitarian theologians wish for us to believe:

  1. Yeshua is his own God,
  2. Yeshua is his own Father, and
  3. Yeshua is his human self!

In other words, as with virtually ALL the arguments of those promoting Yeshua is God, they wish for us to discard common sense understanding of Scripture and accept unsupportable mysteries and mysticism instead!  Of course, they also want us to ignore context of Scripture.  Context: the age old enemy of Trinitarians and all that wish to promote the antichrist deception of a God-Messiah.

The basic position of all those teaching Yeshua is God is the following:

  1. a man (Yeshua) was his own Father (YHVH)
  2. that Yeshua is his own Elohim (God)
  3. that a DEAD Yeshua somehow resurrected himself FROM the dead, since IF he is Yahweh, the scriptures clearly show Yahweh resurrected Yeshua
  4. that Yahweh died, since Yeshua died, despite the fact Yahweh CANNOT die
  5. that Yahweh was tempted, since Yeshua was tempted, despite the fact it is IMPOSSIBLE for Yahweh to be tempted.  etc.

Time is short!  Anyone with Scriptural knowledge can see ALL prophecy is rapidly being fulfilled that is to usher in the return of Yeshua the Messiah!  The time has come to embrace Truth or possibly perish eternally!  Accept what the Scripture overwhelmingly shows and stop listening to Trinitarian "tall tales".  The Trinity is a pagan distortion of Truth!  The only thing worse is that it is so often believed by the majority of Traditional Christians despite the fact it is SO easy to show false!
