The Canon List below represents the Western church canon only.  It should also be remembered that this "Catholic" canon includes apocrypha that the Protestants.  Also not all Protestants accepted the Protestant NT Canon completely, including ex-priest Martin Luther, a man who actually did not fully accept the non-Pauline writings (James, Revelations, and Jude).

The dates of the preferred New Testament canon list is shown below with the "church father" who supported the list shown at the top of each column.  Obviously, the choice of Athanasius became our "New Testament."
