If you differ with my steadfast beliefs, then I am obligated to respectfully inform you that, although I may respond to sincere questions from those truly searching for truth, I will resist the temptation to debate with those who disagree with me. After approximately 40 years as a traditional Christian and more than a decade of unusually intense study, I am now firmly and irrevocably convinced that Yahshua (jesus) the Messiah is NOT God and Torah (God's Law) is still in force. I am less convinced yet still rather sure about the opinions I share on other separate issues.
Though I am far from knowing all there is to know or all I wish to know, on the 2 central topics mentions above I am certain of the truth. Try as you may, you will not be able to convince me otherwise, though I genuinely appreciate your possible heartfelt desire to "save" me from the damnation some of you may wrongly feel I am destined to receive. I was a zealous traditional Christian for decades and have heard all the "proofs" - ALL OF THEM - that Christians present to allegedly "prove" that Messiah is "God in the flesh."
My beliefs come from considering, in depth, BOTH sides of the issue. Do yours? Do you even know the other side of the issue - the evidences those like myself put forth? My experience proves that most who oppose what I believe do not, and often refuse to sincerely consider that they may be wrong.
Have you EVER studied Hebraic thought? I arrived at my current fixed and sure convictions in spite of my traditional Constantinian Christian background. I was predisposed against what I now believe; therefore, no one can reasonably accuse me of being biased towards my current and evermore firm beliefs. If you disagree with me, I must first ask:
Have you even looked at the evidence I present? Have you even considered it? Please be honest. How much time have you spent on this web site? Have you even looked to see if your issue is already addressed?
You may consider such questions patronizing or rude; however, I ask them because the overwhelming number of emailed disagreements I receive are from people who make statements or pose questions to me that are almost always already addressed on this web site or the other sites to which I provide links. In fact, most of the time I have an entire article(s), or New Testament commentary, that addresses the precise issue they wish to point out! Those times in which a verse may be hurled at me that I do not specifically address are few, and in such cases the ISSUE those who disagree with me wish to argue IS addressed - usually repeatedly.
Yes. Virtually ALL the emails of disagreement I receive are from individuals who never honestly consider an opposing view yet are quick to condemn! Such is the mind set of the typical Christian. I should know. I was one of them for almost 40 years!
My objective for creating this web site is simple. I want to serve the ONE and ONLY Creator God and the MAN Yahshua, who he anointed as Messiah ("Messiah" means "anointed"). I strive to progressively supply the COMMON SENSE reasons and information that caused me to dramatically change my beliefs. I have become certain that Traditional, Constantinian Christian doctrine is far from truth - so far, in fact, that much of what it teaches is actually in OPPOSITION to The Living God's teachings! [NOTE: I often use the term "Constantinian" Christianity because of the fact that the nucleus of Christian teaching was birthed by the Roman emperor Constantine in the 4th century. Much of those teachings truly are a legacy of Constantine more than a legacy of Christ.]
I also often get rebukes from those who consider me "harsh," "angry," "judgmental," or "unloving." Oddly, those same Christians seem to suffer from selective amnesia and double-standard-mania since they apparently forget that Christianity practices the ULTIMATE form of harshness, condemnation, and hate by openly condemning others to eternal death if they dare reject or oppose it! Nevertheless, many Christians seem perfectly willing to zealously support Christianity's eternal damnation of others while accusing those like myself of being "harsh." You figure it out. ?? Oh, and of course, the history of Christianity is stained with the blood and screams of those who dared oppose the "church," a fact that is always forgotten or unknown by most Christians. If you are one of those that selectively consider me harsh, please read an article in which I specifically address your criticism. It describes the tone of my articles and why I use such a tone.
Messiah Yahshua said "seek and you shall find." The actual proper Greek verb usage is "CONTINUE SEEKING and you shall find." Implicit within this statement is the fact those who do not seek will not find, and I discovered most Constantinian Christians are among the non-seekers. Most Christians - in fact most humans - accept comfortable beliefs instead of seeking truthful beliefs.
I cannot force anyone to seek what they do not wish to find. I try to assist in directing others to the truth they are looking for, but first they must be looking. Most are too seduced by the great harlot (Rev. 17:1-6) and intoxicated on the wine of deception she serves. Tragically, most are unwilling to consider they may be wrong, are unwittingly brainwashed or, though often sincere, honestly incapable of recognizing the common sense truth because of the awesome power of the "spirit of delusion" that plagues the religious world. However, in the majority of cases they are simply NOT sincerely and humbly seeking! I know because I was at one time among them; however, once I began to truly seek I found the truth for which few care to search!
Please understand that I will not engage in "verse wars" with you. Believe as you wish. The One TRUE God of the Holy Scripture - the Creator of all - will determine who is right in the end. Until then, the Torah of Messiah Yahshua web site and other similar sites will continue to grow, as wheat among tares, to provide common sense rebuttals to every "proof" of Messiah's alleged deity. As stated earlier, I assure you that I have seen virtually ALL the "proofs" of the alleged deity of Messiah, and despite what you may think, there is not one single "proof" for which there is not a legitimate rebuttal.
Frankly, if those who disagree would simply develop the ability to interpret Scripture from the true (vs. false counterfeit Messianic) Hebraic perspective in which it was written they would easily see the truth. This eye-opening and veil lifting approach is crucial if one truly seeks truth! However, since the "church" was created from the start in the 4th century to oppose and eradicate Hebraic thought, virtually the entire Christian world is following a tragically error filled religious system and is incapable of reading Scripture without the eyeglasses of non-Hebraic, Greco-Roman Constantinian bias.
In summation, I feel no desire or obligation to spar with those who disagree. Any implicit or explicit "challenge" to an email debate will probably be quickly deposited in the trash bin of my computer or, on rare occasions, responded to with a single one-time reply suited for that purpose. This is particularly true of emails originating from people who consider themselves infallible or that never look at my evidences.
