Believe Arafat And The Arabs?

Lies and Disinformation, A Powerful Weapon

by Angus Wootten

I received permission from the author to post this article.  The few comments I present will be in parenthesis.

The use of lies and disinformation by Islamic Radicals has been well known for many years but since 9/11 it has reached new heights, the likes of which we have not seen before.  The lies and disinformation published in the Arabic and Palestinian media, by their spokespeople and liberal sympathizers in the international media, have a double purpose.  On the one hand they seek to delegitimize Israel, Jews, and the United States - the great Satan.  On the other hand the Palestinian Authority, and other Arab countries such as Iraq, Iran, and Syria, want to distract world attention from their deep involvement in terrorism.

Most of all, they want to lull the non-Islamic world into ignoring their ultimate goal, which is the elimination of infidels and the triumph of Islam.  The world would not believe Hitler's Mein Kampf, in which he condemned democratic government and expressed his hate and fear of the Jews.  Because of this oversight the world was forced to suffer World War II and the Holocaust.  Today the world will not believe Mohammed's book, the Koran, as interpreted by Islamic fundamentalist.  This unbelief could result in a far, far greater war and holocaust.  (A holocaust that will not just include Jews, but will include all that do not bow to the bloody sword of Islam.)

The Palestinian/Arabic/Islamic collection of lies is particularly disturbing in light of the well-known phenomenon that, when a lie is repeated often enough it becomes the "truth," even if it has no basis.

Even more disturbing is the willingness of the international media to serve as the instrument for publicizing their claims, without checking their veracity, and knowing that in many cases they are without foundation.  The denials, if they are published later, receive much less publicity.  By then the damage has been done.  (A example of this is the infamous photograph of the young Palestinian boy with his father, that was allegedly killed by Israeli soldiers.  Though it has now been PROVEN that he was killed by a .30 caliber bullet, which comes from an AK-47 used by Palestinian gunmen instead of the .223 caliber bullets fired from Israeli M-16s, the media has yet to reveal the truth with the intensity they used to promote the lie.  As I recall the facts from the investigation, the bullet struck him from behind as Palestinians, following their standard practice of using women, children, and anyone else available as shields, fired on defenders of Israel's existence.)

To insure that non Muslims are not entangled in an Islamic web of lies and disinformation that could lead to their disaster they need to anchor themselves to some fundamental truths.

  1. In the long run the Arab nations have no intention of accepting the existence of a Jewish nation in the Middle East.  Nor will they accept the practice of Judaism or Christianity in Moslem countries.  The reasons these are long range goals today, is because they did not have the power in the past, nor do they have the power now, to accomplish these objectives.
  2. In their search for this "power" the Islamic weapon of the moment is the martyr, or by non-Islamic definition "suicide" or "homicide" bombers.  It was very effectively used on 9/11, when at the cost of nineteen homicide bombers, billions of dollars worth of physical damage and some three thousand human casualties were reaped.  These homicide bombers have proved very successful in Israel and the Middle East.  If we allow those who spawn them to be rewarded, we will only reap more homicide bombers!  The day may not be far distant when American's share the same concern that Israelis face when riding a bus or going to the marketplace.
  3. The world, for the most part, is antisemitic (Europe is clear proof of this).  So, many non-Moslem countries are persuaded to be supportive of radical Islam.  We are seeing this support in Northern Europe, and even on college campuses and many cities in the United States (since most campuses are leftist, anti-God institutions - that are anti the TRUE God, verses the demonic, non-god Allah).
  4. Last but not least, the current turmoil and unrest in the Middle East, which has affected the entire world, is principally due to a religious struggle - Christianity, Judaism, and Islam fighting for survival and struggling for domination.  (Personally, due to it's numerically small following, the fight for domination of Judaism is limited to the nation of Israel.  In my opinion, the struggle will ultimately center on the Temple mount, on which the Al-Askah mosque abomination now stands.  The True God will not let it stand and defile His Holy Mount much longer.)  Because the underlying problem is religious, a successful solution must be religious and not secular.

The successful solution to the war against radical Islam must recognize these fundamental truths to succeed.  And, since this is a religious war we can ask if the blueprint of the past struggles of Christianity and Judaism against their enemies might serve as a guide for today's struggle?
